Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born October 8, 1968 is also an activist. She played Ainsley Hayes on the NBC political drama The West Wing (2000-2002; 2006) and Det. Calleigh Duquesne on CBS's police procedural drama CSI: Miami 2002-2012



 



 Early life



 Procter was born on the night of October 8 1988. She was adopted at an infant age by William Procter, a general physician, and Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. They raised her in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was three years young when her parents split up. Whit is her older brother . She is also an adopted child.



 



 Ravenscroft School, Raleigh was Procter's school. While attending East Carolina University, Procter became a member Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Procter worked as a anchor for news at WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. Procter eventually earned degrees in journalism dance.
